It is with tremendous pride and happiness that we announce that Starlite Caterers has become LA|Kosher Catering!

Steve Cohen started Starlite Caterers in 1970 and quickly became one of the premier Kosher Caterers in Southern California.  In recent years, Steve has been mentoring Jessica Supowitz as the dynamics of modern kosher catering trends have evolved.

We are excited to share with the community our new vision, ideas and menus.

Effectively immediately, all catering operations are under two new names:

Please contact us at (818) 789-7588 with any questions or visit us at www.LAKosherCatering.com!

We look forward to continuing to celebrate your life events together!

Sincerely,

Steven J Cohen                                       Jessica Supowitz...

What a year it’s been for us at Starlite Caterers!  We began the year by redecorating our offices with a new modern minimalist look. In addition we launched our new Website where we introduced a new On-Line Store. We had much success with our Gourmet Hamentashen, followed by Passover To Go. Ordering for Passover was a breeze and we expanded our menu to include many new ala carte items. Another addition to our on-line shop was Rosh Hashanah Dinner that was well received by our loyal clientele.

We look forward to expanding the online store to include Shabbat Dinners, and new yummy Hamentashen flavors. More exciting changes are in the works for 2018 so stay tuned!

We are so grateful for all the support from the community and appreciate all your p...

Just in time for Passover, my grandmother’s Chicken Soup recipe.

I begin to gather the potions that help see me and my family through another winter. Ricola is an absolute must! Winter's scratchy throats are easily relieved with these magical lozenges!

Next potion on my list is Astragalus.  Astragalus is a plant within the Legumes family, and has been used for centuries in Chinese Medicine as an immune system booster. I first discovered Astragalus when my son began attending his freshman year in college. Living in the dorms, my concern for his health was keeping me up at night. I began researching healthy, natural ways to help boost his immune system. 1-2 daily doses of Astragalus was all that was needed to get my son got through Freshman Year without a cold or flu. This was historic for him, from a young...

For parents back-to-school is received with a huge sigh of relief that you got through summer without 1 trip to the ER.  It takes time, but after a few weeks or so the kids (and you) are finally back into the school routine.  We rejoice as we send our little ones off to school, but we know what's coming up next...the High Holiday's. They usually fall right smack in the middle of September, so just as you've gotten your back-to-school routine down WHAM!

Erev Rosh Hashana lands on a Tuesday evening. To those of you not in Jewish Day School this means your children attend school Monday. Tuesday becomes a half day, no school Wednesday or Thursday, and back to school Friday. The following week Kol Nidre will follow a similar pattern.  But wai...
